Description

A simple and delicious caramel cookies recipe perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt

Wet Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Add-ins:
1 cup caramel bits or chopped caramel candies


Instructions

Preparation:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add in egg and vanilla, mixing until well combined.

Mixing:
1. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
3. Fold in caramel bits.

Baking:
1. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
2. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
3. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, ensure that the butter is at room temperature and don’t overmix the dough.
