Description

Ingredients

For the cookies:
1 cup almond flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tsp almond extract
1/4 tsp salt
24 sliced almonds for topping


Instructions

Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Mixing and Shaping:
1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Mix in almond extract.
3. Combine almond flour, all-purpose flour, and salt in a separate bowl.
4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, forming a soft dough.
5. Shape dough into balls and place on baking sheets.

Baking:
1. Flatten each dough ball and top with a sliced almond.
2. Bake for 15-18 minutes until edges are golden brown.
3. Cool on baking sheets before transferring to a rack.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use almond flour exclusively. Adjust sugar levels to taste.
