There was no culinary degree, no studio lighting, no team of recipe developers. Just me, a quiet kitchen, a handwritten cookie recipe passed down from my grandmother… and a deep craving for something warm, simple, and made from scratch.
That’s how Easy Cook Meal began — not as a business, but as a love letter to the kind of baking that feels like home.
A Self-Taught Baker with a Soft Spot for Cookies
I’ve always been drawn to the little things — the scent of browned butter, the crinkle of sugar on top of a fresh cookie, the way the house fills with warmth while something’s in the oven.
I never went to culinary school, just like most home bakers out there. I learned by doing — by baking late into the night, by burning a few batches, by tweaking and testing until each cookie turned out just right.
And I still test every recipe in my own home kitchen — no outsourcing, no shortcuts. Just me (and sometimes a curious friend or two) making sure it’s easy enough for weeknights, but delicious enough for company.
